Concept2025Social interfaces

Thoughtra

A social interface concept where thoughts branch into other thoughts instead of disappearing down a timeline.

The short version

Thoughtra asks what a social product would look like if the basic unit were a branching idea rather than a post competing for attention in a chronological feed.

01

Core interaction

Replies become paths, not a pile.

One thought begins; related observations, questions, and replies attach to it as branches. The structure is meant to preserve how an idea develops rather than flattening everything into isolated posts.

02

Why it interests me

Interface structure changes the kind of conversation.

Feed design rewards recency and reaction. A branching structure could reward connection and development instead. Thoughtra is a way for me to explore that premise through interface and product design.

03

Status

Still a design question, deliberately not a startup claim.

Thoughtra remains a concept. There is no claim here that it is a launched network or startup; the point is the question and the interaction model.
